Updated: July 30, 2020
GVAA has received the NJDOH guidelines and is updating its return to play plan. We recognize there is still risk associated with the COVID-19 virus. We feel our community will follow the guidelines as they were written and help us safely get our community back to the fields.
Please review and familiarize yourself with the guidelines provided by the NJDOH and the GVAA Return to Play Plan. All who participate in GVAA activates should respect and follow these guidelines. Parents and coaches will need to sign and acknowledge the receipt, review, and the adherence to both the NJDOH guidelines as well as the GVAA Return to Play Plan.

GVAA Return to Play Plan
GVAA coaches, players, and spectators should follow the guidelines provided by the NJDOH. The GVAA Return to Play Plan calls out some aspects of the NJDOH Guidelines but does not supersede or replace the guidelines provided by the NJDOH. GVAA reserves the right to update the Return to Play Plan at any time to continue to provide a safe environment. A parent/guardian of each player will need to sign an acknowledgement of receipt for the NJDOH guidelines and the GVAA Return to Play Plan.
Our summer program will consist of 2 weeks of practice followed by 4 weeks of games. Your coach will be communicating the specific details around your team’s schedule. If you would like to transfer your registration to the spring 2021 season contact John Conners at email@example.com or 856-261-8738.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and support. We hope together we can respect each other and have a safe and fun summer program.

Coach, Mentor & Friend, Ken Mair
The GVAA Baseball community is mourning the loss of one of its most dedicated volunteers in league history.
Long-time coach and league umpire coordinator Ken Mair passed away this week after a battle with cancer. Ken was just 60 years old.
He spent over 20-plus years helping to run our league, coach our kids, train young umpires and share his passion for baseball. His name remains etched above the third base dugout on the Babe Ruth Field at Rabinowitz.
We send are heartfelt condolences to the Mair Family and all those that Ken touched while coaching and mentoring countless GVAA players.
It's volunteers like Ken that make GVAA and the Gibbsboro/Voorhees community a special place.
If you have a special memory, story or picture of Ken that you'd like to share, please post it on our facebook page or on the obituary's tribute wall.
In lieu of flowers, Ken's family would greatly appreciate all contributions be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr. Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 .
Thank You Ken, you will be missed.
We have created a Facebook page to provide our community another way to learn about league news and events and to share the GVAA experience with one another. Please take a moment to click on the link below to visit the page — and don't forget to "like" it so our posts will show up in your news feed.

USABat Stamp of Approval
Cal Ripken Baseball in conjunction with USA Baseball has implemented bat rules that must be enforced at all levels in both our GVAA Rec and Travel programs.
These bats are designed to act like wood bats and they must have a USABat Stamp of Approval to be legal for play.
TEE BALL BAT RULES:
Beginning January 1, 2018, participating National Member Organizations will adopt the USABat standard for youth baseball and tee ball bats. Unlike standard youth baseball bats, tee ball bats (lengths 26” and shorter) are not required to undergo lab testing to receive approval under the USABat Program.
However, to be approved for play within the participating National Member Organizations, tee ball bats must feature the USA Baseball mark and accompanying permanent text which reads:
ONLY FOR USE WITH APPROVED TEE BALLS
